This iconic cinema opened its doors in 1937. We provided a full refurbishment of the five screen cinema, including installing one of the largest IMAX screens in the UK, as well as the latest digital technology, and new extra comfortable seats.
We carefully programmed the works across three phases to minimise disruption to the guests and staff, as the cinema remained fully operational throughout the works.
One of the key challenges for this project was that the cinema sits on an island within Swiss Cottage, such that it is surrounded by traffic, with Red Routes either side. This made delivering materials to site very difficult. We therefore instructed a Traffic Management Company, which worked closely with us so we could secure the materials on site.
