We undertook the refurbishment of this 12 screen cinema in Clifton Moor, York. The refurbishment included taking out all 2,700 seats and replacing them with 898 luxurious leather reclining seats and 24 new disabled seats. Each screen was fitted with premium Sony 4K picture quality and Digital Dolby Surround Sound. We also updated the foyer with a brand new bar and seating area. In addition we replaced the air conditioning units on the roof; and we worked closely with our engineer and specialist sub-contractors to design and deliver substantial external works to the building facade.
Working closely with the cinema’s management team, we achieved the challenging 14 week programme over a number of phases, enabling the cinema to remain open throughout the works.
