We worked with Cineworld to deliver the new multiplex cinema in Speke, located in New Mersey Shopping Park.
This cinema includes 11 cutting-edge screens with crystal clear projection and powerful surround sound. The cinema also has a giant Superscreen – one of the biggest screens in the North of England, with a wall to wall screen and epic Dolby Atmos sound.
In addition, Cineworld Speke is the first cinema in the UK to feature ScreenX. Screen X technology has been developed by CGV in South Korea. This is the world’s first multi-projection system, to be used within a theatre setting. It has multi-projection theatre technology that provides movie-goers with a 270-degree panoramic viewing experience by expanding the screen onto the side walls of the auditorium. It crafts a fully immersive experience that pulls you into the world of your favourite films like nothing before.
ScreenX is highly innovative with a very unusual shape. As a result the installation of this screen provided a number of challenges, including working in a multi-national capacity with our colleagues in South Korea. Using our extensive experience and skills we were able to successfully fit out the auditorium, working 24hrs a day, in a total of just 27 days.
