We delivered the remodelling and refurbishment of the Showcase Cinema de Lux, Bluewater. This included the overstepping works to form new stadia ready for the installation of fully customisable reclining seating in 13 of of the cinema’s auditoria. We also worked closely with the cinema and design teams to integrate the introduction of Dolby Atmos sound, laser projection and immersive wall to wall XPlus screen. The cinema refurbishment includes a new VIP Gallery refurbishment with bar, kitchen and seating areas where guests can experience a high-end offer with food and beverage along with upgraded larger reclining heated seats.
The refurbishment began in October 2021, and the cinema remained operational during the eight month refurbishment. To enable this, we liaised closely with the client to carefully programme the works over two phases, ensuring the full cinema was available to the client throughout the busy Christmas holiday period, before recommencing the second phase ready for the grand opening.
