We delivered the fit-out of a new Puttstars in St George’s Shopping Centre, Harrow. The 1,786m2 site, includes three different state of the art and fully interactive 9-hole mini golf courses; as well as a stylish bar, diner and an amusement arcade.
Mid-way through the 16 week programme, we identified acoustic material within the original suspended ceiling, which needed to be removed to allow for the ventilation to be installed. We had the material surveyed and tested to ensure that it was not hazardous, and then removed the material. This, along with three COVID19 outbreaks over a four week period, caused challenges to the programme. However, with careful planning and a focus on delivering the project on time, we met the 16 week programme.
As the site was within a shopping centre, access and deliveries were challenging. We had a small site set-up area within the loading bay, and so had to carefully plan deliveries and waste removal to ensure that materials were not sat on site for prolonged periods of time. The site was on the second floor of a very busy and fully occupied shopping centre. To minimise the disruption to members of the public and those who worked at the shopping centre, we liaised very closely with the centre manager and other tenants.
