We undertook the complete refurbishment of this eight screen Odeon cinema on the outskirts of Edinburgh. We undertook the work in two phases. The first phase included the refurbishment of half of the screens and development of Odeon’s immersive film experience, ISENSE. This phase took place whilst the cinema was fully operational. The cinema then closed for nine weeks whilst we completed the refurbishment of the remainder of the cinema, including the foyer, concourse, concessions and toilets.
The cinema includes the new Odeon Luxe concept, where every seat has been expertly designed so guests can relax and recline during their film, complete with their own table built into the seat. With less seats and extra space, guests have a more personal, immersive experience with every visit. To complement this experience, Odeon Luxe serves fine wines and beers alongside a menu of hot and chilled food.
In addition, we installed the ISENSE concept into this cinema. ISENSE is ODEON’s immersive film experience. It combines cutting edge 4K projection, Dolby ATMOS 3D sound with an optimised screen.
