G Live is the go-to live entertainment and arts centre in Guildford, Surrey.
This project included the demolition of an existing bar servery and installation of a main feature bar in a different location, providing a service bar, extending the cellar and building a server room. We also modernised the mezzanine level including the removal of a fixed servery, added new flooring, a new lighting scheme and provided high level decoration.
The building was occupied and open to the public during the works, with a number of workshops and theatre events taking place, mainly involving schools. We worked closely with the theatre’s operational team to minimise disruption to the visitors, staff, production companies and members of the public. A further challenge to the project was installing the services to the new main feature bar and mezzanine level. However, despite these challenges we delivered the project to the five week programme, to budget and the highest level of quality.
